So glad you thin...Thanks for the bloggy and links! So glad you think you 'won' with this doll quilt. The design seemed to magically come together. The cogs: now there's some slow-sewing fun! =) They were worth it for the loosely place rainbow spectrum that crawls between the two larger elements. <br /><br />I got excited about the idea for the heavy metal zippered stripes (so many had poopoo'ed the stripes in the drawing.) The movement of the zipping piece was so bonus!<br /><br />I'll share this one technical aspect for your own future construction tip. I needle-turn appliqued the two large circles. If I had it to do over again, I would reverse applique, especially for the geese. They are a bit bulky at the edges (which quilting helps.) I'd have to make a practice unit before cutting the bg fabric! ;)<br /><br />Hope Cyprus in the news hasn't hindered any holiday plans.
